Launch of the Open Arts Archive

Open Arts Archive

Last Saturday on the 27th of March 2010, the Open Arts Archive website was launched at the Tate Modern in London.

The Open Arts Archive collects and provides access to a wealth of art related material and events across Britain. At the time of the launch, around 16 of the major galleries and museums in UK will be providing input to the archive. This exquisite location, overlooking the Thames river and the beautiful St. Paul's cathedral and the Gherkin, was a great place to launch the website. It was a pleasure for me to demo the website with Gill Perry, the project leader and professor of Art History at the Open University. The Open Arts Archive can be accessed at:
